QuestionIf I have the camera hooked up with a chime pro, will cats set it off.

- Answer Yes it will. Our neighbor has several cats that roams free and I get a chime whenever the cats come in my driveway or yard. You can turn the sensitivity level down so it won’t notify you of every little thing, such as the wind blowing the tree leaves. I hope this helps to answer your question.

QuestionThe camera with security lights is what I am interested in. I know it must be hardwired but what does the camera talk to when it comes on, where is video stored??

- Answer Hi Jerry, When motion is detected, you'll receive a motion alert (notification) on your cellular device. You'll be able to open the notification and launch Live View where you can speak to the visitor. If you are subscribed to Ring Protect Plan, you'll be able to store your videos. I hope this helps! QuestionWhat are folks experience with uplink bandwith with many cameras? I am thinking about installing probably 7 or 8 of these in and around my house. There could easily be 4 or 5 cameras simultaneously triggered by motion. Is that realistic?

QuestionI'm currently looking into getting the ring video camera I don't have flood lights up can I still use the ring camera without having the original flood lights?

- Answer Hi LA45, It is not required to have an existing Floodlight to replace the Ring Floodlight Cam with however, you will need to install wiring in order to install the Ring device. QuestionWhat is the minimum distance that can be set for the lights and/or the siren. I have a very short distance to the rear of my property (about 15 feet). The property abuts a golf course and I don't want the siren going off every a golfer or cart goes by.

- Answer You can adjust the light range. It goes from min to max. It does not say the actual distance. Also you can create motion zones where the camera will activate and in the motion zones you adjust the sensitivity to minimum. This will activate only under a person movement. The siren is under your control.

QuestionIf I have Charter Spectrum Wifi which is 200 Mbps and I have a Netgear Nighthawk AC2400 while that provide the speed needed for the flood cam because the router is on the other side of the house, 250 ft away and outside would it be good enough speed.

- Answer Yes you need WiFi,it’s the only way to set it up. You may be able to use a phones Hotspot. The only reason to buy this item is because it has WiFi

- Answer Hey Bud, The lamps are included, they are already installed to the housing. All you need to do when you get home is figure out how to get a line to where your installing it. It's pretty easy, I was able to install it on my own having no experience in electrical. - Answer Hi Mike, The floodlights on the Floodlight Cam are operated by passive infrared heat detection. The Ring Floodlights use passive infrared detectors (PIR) to detect motion in three 90 degree arcs around the device.
