  • QuestionIf for example motion is detected for 2 minutes continuously will it record 4, 30 second intervals or just one 30 second video and leave the remaining time Un-recorded ?

    Asked by Izzy.

    • Answer Hello Izzy, The Ring Stick Up Cam's video recording length can be set from 15 seconds up to 120 seconds. The Ring app gives you the power to control how long your Ring devices record events, even if you don't respond to notifications. By lowering or raising your video recording length you can choose a longer time to see more of each event or less recording time in order to preserve battery life. More details on video recording length can be found here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040293791-Adjust-the-Video-Recording-Length-on-Your-Battery-Powered-Devices. • QuestionDoes this camera record 24/7, where is the recording stored, and will the solar panel maintain battery charge if recording 24/7?

    Asked by LP.

    • Answer The cameras are designed to activate by motion and record video and audio. If you pay for the monthly service from Ring all video that is recorded during motion can be retrieved. Video that is captured is only stored for a certain period not forever. Battery life will remain strong while only streaming motion activated video and audio. As long as the solar panel is located in place that receives enough light it will keep the batteries charged.

  • QuestionDo I have to pay a monthly fee for the ring stick up camera and is it compatible with my xfinity wifi router??

    Asked by Tony.

    • Answer Hello Tony, Great question! As long as your Xfinity wifi router broadcasts a 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connection @ 2.4GHz this device will connect to it. While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every ring, motion, and live view event for up to 60 days (US). You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature. • QuestionRecord video 24/7?

    Asked by Lizy.

    • Answer Not 24/7 only when they detect motion. You can program them to record 60, 90 and 120 seconds. If you get a subscription which is very cheap the video gets sent to the ring cloud which in return you can safe it to your device and access it whenever needed.

  • QuestionCan these cameras be used for surveillance outside my RV? can the yearly plan be used to provide multiple cameras around my RV using a hotspot?

    Asked by Nursehair.

    • Answer Hello Nursehair, Great question! Yes, you can use Ring Stick Up Cameras for an RV, provided your internet connection is reliable. These devices are intended to be used with a standard 2.4 Ghz wifi connection. Although most hotspots support this, you'll want to review your data plans agreement for details. Pay special attention to data limitations with your hotspot. Ring Protect Plus will cover an entire location with a single plan. This means you can record multiple Ring Cameras at your RV. Please reach us directly, so we can discuss this in greater detail. We're confident that we can help craft the best home security solution for you. Regards, Marlom at Ring.

    Asked by King.

  • QuestionWhat does "3 axis adjustable" mean for the Ring Stick up wireless indoor/outdoor camera?

    Asked by betmend.

    • Answer The connection on the back of the camera is adjustable as in you can tilt it forward, backward, or side to side...basically like 3 D. I mounted mine and then angled it accordingly to the side and then upward to get the door and the part of my yard I wanted to get. There is a connection on the bottom for the axis or you can put it to the rear of the camera as well. I use the rear mount.
