• Yes it has excellent night vision. Set the camera to frequent setting. It picks up cats,possums,iguanas, and foxes.

• I am still learning. You can see things at night on your iPhone. I have mine in the front of my home & every time a car drives by it chimes. Still trying to figure it out. Don't know about animals, as we have only a couple on our street.
