I have the Ring DoorBell 2 and that is all you need. The view wide lens is good enough. I put mine little high and it has a good view you be surprise. Try it and tell me what you think.

If there is no wall blocking the ring on either side then you are fine with just the doorbell device. Ours catches everything including vehicles on the road in front of our home and neighbors. If all you want to know is who is at your door then the ring device is enough.
