I like to have the chime mainly for motion notifications. We have it set to wind chimes real soft just to let us know when there is motion because the doorbell doesn't ring for motion alerts. Alexa will also let you know when there is motion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You DON’T need the Chime because you’re hot wired to your existing doorbell BUT having the Chime extends the WiFi signal (if you need that!) AND allows a bunch of different sounds for motion detection and different sounds for when the Ring Doorbell is pressed... if you like Christmas chimes this time of the year, you have a few to choose from.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What is you existing doorbell, is it wired or wireless? If you have an existing wired doorbell, The “Ring” door bell will be using the existing electrical connection. So that when you press the “Ring” door it will still trigger the existing chime. You won’t be needing a new chime if you already have one installed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Incase you have a 2 story or want want to hear the doorbell if your in the back yard the chime is very handy. Works off wifi so you can move it around the house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The chime is a signal booster,,plus gives you multiple options for ring tones, also battery pack that will boost voltage if yours is low
