• A:Answer Yes for Pro has to be hard wire. If you have an existing doorbell the wire from that will work. I am no Professional installer , it took me about all n all 45 mins to install and get it going. And yes Best Buy can also install it for you for a fee.

• A:Answer The Pro doorbell requires 12-24VAC power. It doesn't have an internal battery like the other models do. The Chime Pro included in this bundle is the old version, not the current version, but either way, requires a standard 120V outlet for power only. Communication between the Doorbell and the Chime Pro is wireless.

• A:Answer Yes, but it depends on why the doorbell doesn't work. If the chime doesn't work, but the wiring and capacitor is fine, then get the model with the chime and use that instead of the old wall chime. This is what I was able to do with mine. If the wiring is shot or the circuit is too under powered you can get a plug adapter and run power that way. Also, they have battery powered models as well, but I'm not overly excited about that idea.

• A:Answer If you love the default setting it will pick up any motion in the motion zone. This includes headlights shining on the grass. If you set the Human Only setting it calms right down and only alerts for humans. I wish they had human and vehicle, but night time free of headlight alerts is fine for me.
