Yes, but it depends on why the doorbell doesn't work. If the chime doesn't work, but the wiring and capacitor is fine, then get the model with the chime and use that instead of the old wall chime. This is what I was able to do with mine. If the wiring is shot or the circuit is too under powered you can get a plug adapter and run power that way. Also, they have battery powered models as well, but I'm not overly excited about that idea.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on why your doorbell doesn't work. This model doesn't have an internal battery (unlike most of the other ones), so it needs 12-24VAC power. If you get power at the doorbell button, this'll probably work. Otherwise, you can get the "Ring Plug-In Adapter" which plugs into a standard wall outlet for power.
