- Answer The ring part has a battery in it, but I'm not sure what good it would be in a power failure. If the wireless goes away it can't store video. If you have a backup battery on your wireless MODEM as well that may work. It took about 1/2 hour for the battery to charge while I was installing it.

QuestionI purchased this bundle and attempted installing today. I’ve tried like crazy to connect the chime pro to an outlet but it doesn’t appear that something is correct. Is this not made for a US outlet? Am I missing something?? Photo attached.

- Answer Hi Craig No it will not it must be 13 volt or higher I had to buy a new transformer for mine. If you are handy and know where your transformer is located it is really simple.

QuestionDoes this come with the interchangeable colored face plates? The one on the ring website says the pro comes with 4 colored faceplates that can be changed. I do not see that listed here

If you don’t care about saving the video, you don’t have to have a subscription to watch live video or to get alerts.

- Answer There’s only one ring doorbell which may suite this question. The ring elite. It Depends on the multitude of wiring options. If you’re lucky enough to have Ethernet wiring in place for the intercom, the elite can be powered and send a signal through a cat5e (most common) or better quality cable. Considerable more setup then other ring devices.
