“Is there a backup battery for this system?”

• The ring part has a battery in it, but I'm not sure what good it would be in a power failure. If the wireless goes away it can't store video. If you have a backup battery on your wireless MODEM as well that may work. It took about 1/2 hour for the battery to charge while I was installing it.

• Yes onboard battery but if power goes out won't record to Wi-Fi. Great investment though

• This system is powered from either a doorbell A/C transformer or a power supply from Ring. For battery backup, you would need to connect the doorbell transformer or Ring PS to a UPS or other battery backup system.
