  • QuestionCan this be used to heat a small wellhouse?

    Asked by Isaac.

    • Answer I don't know what you mean by wellhouse. It could be used anywhere on high power DC power, however, if AC power is available, higher power heaters are available that would likely be a better use.

  • QuestionHow many watts does it use? Amps? How many hours of continuous use without causing damage?

    Asked by Needheat.

    • Answer 300 watts, 25 amp, 12 volt DC. (The last photo of the product box, if you zoom in on it, it shows "300 watts") The heater (all) are likely protected against overheating to prevent damaging themselves. *With all heaters, use caution that they aren't blowing on/pointing at anything very close to them, as that could cause damage. Example, the seat, papers, clothing, etc. Continuous use won't damage anything except it will drain a vehicle battery (an old one much faster) so the vehicle engine should be running to help prevent that drain. It could also be used for a short period, turn it off, use it again, to minimize that drain, but you'd still want the vehicle engine running. This heater uses about the same power as 5 halogen off-road lights. That high power is why it has a high heat output.

  • QuestionWhat do you plug this heater to to use in your vehicle

    Asked by Joe.

    • Answer The heater is wired directly to the vehicle battery, so it does not plug in anywhere.

  • QuestionCan you use it in any make, model and year of car?

    Asked by Sabrina.

    • Answer Any gas or diesel vehicle that can handle the load (with the vehicle engine running the whole time) otherwise it will drain and can damage the battery. If you have a local Best Buy, bring you vehicle to show and ask them too.

  • QuestionIs this good for use in utv

    Asked by Richard.

    • Answer Depends if it can support the electrical load. I use a Marine Deep Cycle battery in my EV. It works good.

  • QuestionWill this heater heat the inside of the car?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer I have 2 of these in my well insulated EV, they really work, fairly quickly too. A freezing 28F degree night in the northest US, a half-hour ride (I used my EV seat heater on, and I used 1 of these heaters) and I was quite comfortable, wearing a coat, etc. Another freezing night, I used the 2nd heater too, I had a tee shirt, long sleeve jean shirt, fleece jacket and a down jacket on/broken zipper~ I removed all down to my tee shirt and pants, and before I arrived home, a half-hour later, the two heaters were -burning me- out of my EV *(I also had turned off my EV seat heater on the way home!) I was testing how much they discharged my Deep Cycle Marine battery in a half-hour.
