I have both, and there's not much difference. The FireStick makes you download apps to watch anything other than Amazon content, while the ROKU has some preinstalled and other "channels" that can be added like the apps. Also, my FireStick sits behind my TV, which interfered with my WiFi signal, so I had to get a short extender to drop it below the TV, something I did not need to do with this. I use Amazon, Netflix, and Hulu on both devices with no problem. The remote on the ROKU has buttons to take me to the one I want to watch, which is convenient.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Roku is able to stream audio of the content you are viewing or listening to using the Roku app installed on a smartphone. Roku features 2,000 apps. Many apps that are free on Roku are not free on other platforms. Beyond the minor differences, the streaming sticks are very similar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For me there is one big difference. Live tv. If you have Twc and want to watch all your channels you can do that on roku. Not firestick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The difference is that the Roku express is not a stick. It is basically a miniature version of the bigger Roku or Firetv. It has everything the Roku player has. I left a good review you can check that out if necessary.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe that there is little or no difference between streaming devices .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One BIG difference... you can use you right phone as a remote and listen via your phones headset-which I love. I haven't found how to do it with Amazon Fire..yet. I also think that the Amazon Stick is somewhat slower..(remote to hub connection) in that the stick is hidden behind the tv (at least for me) and the Express is long enough that it can sit in front of or beside the TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
