Roku requires a credit card before it activates your service. I refused to give this information so I can't use it. Therefore, I'm returning it. There is no reason Roku needs this info from me. I don't rent movies or buy anything using Roku never have, never will.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The credit card is needed to create the Roku account in the event that you want to buy something through the device. Otherwise, using the device is free.

I use mine to stream my Charter Spectrum tv service, Netflix, Amazon prime, and there are free services you can view and add to the Roku as well. Eliminated my need for the cost of additional boxes on my secondary TVs.
