• No. But for $10 more you are future proof when your tv does eventually fizzle out. You can run lower resolutions with the 4K Roku.

• If you dont plan on a new tv then the extra money is not worth it, you will not gain anything unless you are after other features.

• Definitely. One of out TV's is also 2k and it is our main living room tv. Can't tell the difference between it and the 4k in the bedroom.

• The 4K content will just play in 1080p if that is the highest resolution your tv offers. It still looks very good. You could also think of it as you are "future proofing" your streaming service since you are then ready should you ever upgrade to a 4k television.
