yes you do have to have WIFI services .

You need internet access. Not necessarily wifi but you will have to run a network cable to it.

Yes, and it only supports 2.4Ghz networks which seems like a terrible solution for streaming 4k UHD content. Mine struggles streaming 4k HDR content from our local Plex server while my TCL 4k HDR wired flies along smoothly.
