- Answer You can get whatever channels your network offers that you’re paying for. If it’s a basic cable package you should get local channels. You can download free apps as well as paid apps. Hope that helps.

- Answer Hi, RHDMI ! It is recommended you connect your Roku Ultra to your TV using the included Premium High Speed HDMI Cable. If you are going to use your Audio Quest HDMI cable instead, make sure it is at least HDMI version 2.0a or later.

QuestionI currently have my smart TV(2016 Samsung) connected directly to my router with an Ethernet cable. I watch the tv with the apps directly from my TV. Any benefits to use a Roku player to watch the same apps instead of directly on my tv(picture,sound,etc.)?

- Answer Hello! The Roku Ultra will offer the same general benefits such as streaming your favorite channels but it also offers a few upgrades as well. The remote control on the Roku Ultra has a lost remote finder, which is especially helpful. And also offers a headphone jack on the remote control to allow for private listening. QuestionI have a complex system set up. I am using a deco wifi mesh with 3 nodes. One of which is connected to (ethernet hardwired) but it only has 2 ports one for my TV (LG) and one for my AVR.(Denon) Can I use a Ethernet Switch to connect and get true ATMOS!

- Answer Ethernet packets are ethernet packets, they are going to pass through a switch without being changed. I have a ethernet cable from my router to a switch in my entertainment room, and run ethernet cable from there to my AVR, TV, and Roku Ultra. Seems like a better way to go than wifi.

- Answer If the projector has an HDMI input, the Roku will connect through this input and this connection is necessary. Need of course to have ethernet or WiFi for the Roku to work.

- Answer I have the Roku Ultra hardwired with ultra high speed HDMI to my router which is the latest Verizon has to offer. Everything along the way is 4k compatible to my TV including CAT 6e Ethernet. No loss and lightening fast. Good luck.

- Answer My USB Seagate 2tb self powered drive with NTFS format works fine. However, a larger drive may require separate power. Several searches on web gave mixed reviews on this subject so I went with a 2tb drive.

- Answer It depends of your internet provider. If you use for example Comcast or another local cable provider to get your internet but not cable, you can use their app within Roku to get the local stations. Hulu and others will also give you access to local stations.

- Answer Hi Mr, great question. No, all 4K Roku streaming players will work with any television with an HDMI connection. While you will not be able to take advantage of 4K resolution without a compatible 4K TV, your TV will still show you the best resolution it's capable of thanks to the Roku player's Auto-Detect Display settings!

- Answer It depends on the device, from most laptops and tables you can connect to a regular monitor using USB. I have only used the USB port on a TV to power other devices, you would need to check the TV manual and specs.

- Answer Hi dckmatrix! If your computer monitor has an HDMI input you can use a Roku Ultra with it. Keep in mind that most monitors do not have speakers built in and you would need external speakers to hear the audio from content your streaming. In addition, to enjoy 4K content your monitor would need to have an HDMI 2.0 input that supports HDCP 2.2.
