With out a doubt Roku is the way to go
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A lot depends on your TV. Is it 1080p or 4k do you have HDMI inputs on your TV do you have USB inputs on your TV. The streaming stick uses a USB input, the Roku 2,3 and 4 use a HDMI input to your TV I have tried all of them. I did not like the streaming stick or the Roku 2 they where both very slow to load. I have a Roku 3 on my bedroom TV wirelessly but that TV is only 1080p I use the Roku 4 on my living room TV that is 4k I also have it hard wired with an Ethernet cable into my router hard wired is quicker then wifi. If you're TV is only 1080p the Roku 3 will work fine. The Roku 4 will play 1080p and 4k the Roku 4 does load quicker. A lot depends on your TV inputs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have tried four different devices of four streaming services and on my tv sets of ages varying from a few months old to a seven year old one. My experience with all this has made me a true Roku fan. I would like to add a comment about the supplied earphones. I get much better sound when I use my. Old headphones. Try one of your own headphones which you favor.
Sorry, there was a problem. If you're just streaming television shows or movies, then you could probably use the smaller stick devices that don't cost as much. My Roku stick doesn't have the processing power to handle anything but streaming and most of my co-workers use a Firestick and they like them. Don't know anyone using a Chromecast stick, but I don't think it would be much different. The sticks can also be powered from the USB port of a t.v. if yours happens to have one, so you don't have to plug it directly into a power socket. The Roku boxes 1 - 3 seem to be stable, but the Roku 4 had overheating problems. If Western Digital ever decides to make media boxes again, I'd highly recommend that because they're durable and play the largest variety of file types without a problem.
