Nikki, if you have a step down transformer to change your voltage to 110v. you will be ok with the voltage, but it will not change the Hz. That being said, it should not matter about the Hz. If your item were a clock; however, it would be a problem because your clock would run slower with 50 Hz. than it would with 60 Hz. If you took a clock from your country that ran on 50Hz. and plugged it into a 110 V. with a voltage converter it would run faster with the 60 Hz. than it would with the 50 Hz. You also want to be sure that your voltage converter will cover the wattage of your item.
