    • Answer You need to remove the metal plate at the top of the outside of the microwave . This will allow the air to flow out of the microwave into the ductwork. you may need to reorient the fan in order to direct it up, or out the back of the microwave.

  • QuestionI just installed my microwave and the door will not open since it hits on the side of the cabinet. What are my options?

    • Answer You might need to add a furring strip (a small strip of lumber) to the wall directly behind the wall bracket. The furring strip should be equal to the distance you need to move the door past the cabinet. Typical upper cabinets are 12 " deep so you either have unussually deep uppers or it is next to the fridge with a partition between oven and fridge cabinet. Ther is not really any good solution that I can think of if that is the case . Need more info.

    • Answer This microwave has two exterior vent options. The top side with the vent in the middle near the back edge or on the back the vent is located in the middle near the top edge.

  • QuestionWhat are the vent's width and length opening measurements?

    • Answer I did not measure the vent opening at the back of the microwave. I have attached a picture of the installation template for a rear venting opening. It shows 12 inches x 4 inches. Note on doing the rear venting.....since you need to make sure that the template is in the middle of the space under the cabinet....the vent hole in the wall might hit a stud...if you don't have any vent hole yet...have it professionally done....our builder made the vent hole smaller to avoid cutting the stud..thus the vent hole is smaller than 12 inches. good luck
