“Aren't there supposed to be two underneath filters? Hi! I recently bought this microwave, and included in the box were two, different sized filters. The smaller, dark grey one was clearly the charcoal filter to go on top of the unit, and the second, shiny silver one, clearly fit underneath the unit. The trouble is, there are two spaces for this filter, one on either side of the light. When I called customer service, the lady said there was only supposed to be one such filter in the box. Huh? This makes no sense. How do I go about getting another filter through warranty service when the lady on the phone doesn't even know there should be two?”

I'm sorry to hear you received only one of the two grease filters that should have come with your SMH1622 microwave. While some models are designed to use only one grease filter, you're correct that there should have been two of these to fit on either side of the light in your SMH1622; see attached photos from page 8 and 20 of the user manual.
