i recently bought a house and there is No vent or anything. would i have to have ventilation to the outside with this over range microwave? null

The SMH1622S can be set up to vent outside from the rear or top of the unit, or filtered air can be recirculated into the room from vents located in the front that are concealed from view. The recirculating option does not require vent ducts. - Ms. Samsung

The unit is adjustable for venting. If you do not have a vent in the microwave spot to the back or top you can adjust the vent to throw air out the front. It is a simple adjustment. I did this with my unit because I don't have a vent going outside either.
