A:AnswerFranklyn, the door is 13 5/8in tall. This is just the door. You can see there is a band above the door that is fixed. I took some pic's of my install so you can see how it sits into the cabinets. I wanted to protrusion out of the side cabinets to be as little as possible, its only 2.5" sticking out. The entire unit hangs on a back galvi rail and has two anchor screws that go in through the top of the unit from the above cabinet. This holds the unit up and in place. Pretty easy to install and remove, need two people though. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerHello RustyShackleford! Samsung recommends following the instructions provided on the product you are trying to heat as long as they comply with normal operational guidelines of the microwave. ^Jecca
A:AnswerThe 12" depth is to allow for the microwave door to open. You could get away with 13 3/4" and yes, you could mount a frame on your back wall to move the unit out.
A:AnswerIf you don't have cabinet, you need someone to create a wall bracket that reaches over the top of the unit so you can brace it to the wall. It comes with a bracket that sits along the bottom of the unit like a long flat bar with groves that the microwave fits over. The microwave can be configured to blow into a duck or into the room.
A:AnswerIf you can follow instructions, use a template, a level, measure properly, drill accurately and lift the microwave to mount on the bracket then, yes you can do it.
A:AnswerOh my gosh! The better question is how LOUD is the fan! It's horrible and it doesn't even clear out the smoke or smells. Don't waste your money on this!
