QuestionHow do you bake with this? My landlord installed it as an oven replacement, but the guide says to use no metal objects inside—I had assumed that, on convection mode, one could put in a cookie tray, but that seems forbidden. Has anyone used metal trays?

- Answer Excellent question, Monsters! The term "convection" simply means the unit uses fans to help circulate the heat, creating a more even temperature throughout the compartment. Because this model is a microwave it uses a magnetron to heat, instead of a heating element like ovens use. The magnetron uses magnetic energy to heat, and therefore can be dangerous around metal objects. For this reason, metal cannot be used with this model. - Answer Total wattage you need to account for is 1750. That’s as per the manual. Dedicated 20a circuit IMO. Place receptacle in cabinet above unit.

QuestionWhen I start a countdown timer, it simply ends up vanishing. Nobody opened the microwave, nobody hit a key. At some point the microwave simply shows time and the timer function was somehow killed anyway. Is this normal? Hard to believe no timer works?

QuestionIs there a way to use the microwave while the timer is running? Also, it would be good if the keypad was disabled when the door is open. Several times we have hit the Fan button accidentally while opening or closing the door.

- Answer Yes, The air fryer (convection) function of this oven has allowed me to remove another one of those small annoying appliances off my counter top. BOTH the air fryer/convection function and the microwave function are great!! And the oven has built in recipes that conveniently combine both.
