• The model 1713S comes standard venting up out of the top of the microwave. But has the ability to adjust the vent to come out the back or out the front. Directions describe how to do just this.

• The SMH1713S can be set up to vent outside through the rear or top of the microwave, or filtered air can be recirculated and vented into the room through a hidden vent in the front. Installation instructions and templates showing the exact location for the cutouts in the top or back are shipped with the microwave. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung
