• The manual says replace with a 40 watt incandescent bulb.

• The SMH1816 microwave uses a 40-watt incandescent bulb for the cooktop light, not an LED. If you prefer to have LED lighting over your cooktop, you may want to consider the SMH2117. Thanks for your interest, Ms.Samsung
