Will this Soundbar connect to my Sony TV null

Not sure if you can connect to Sony; I have an LG. Was very easy to set up. Great sound.

Yes sound bar connects through optical wire and if your Sony Tv has optical it will recognize it automatically

Hi Sunny! The HW-S40T requires a digital optical audio or Bluetooth audio connection. Check the back of your TV or the owners manual to verify if your existing TV supports on of these two audio connections. ^Tim
