• the soundbar will still need to be plugged into a wall outlet. you just change the input mode to bluetooth and can play music from your phone

• Cookeville - The S40T needs to be powered on with a direct connection to an outlet; it is not rechargeable, nor does it utilize batteries. When your soundbar is plugged into an electrical outlet, you can take advantage of the Bluetooth capabilities. ^Gina
