A:AnswerAlthough you could, I wouldn’t recommend this. Since you already have an amp, it would be a much better use of your money to buy a decent set of bookshelf speakers with sufficient low end. If you think that’s not enough, add a small powered sub later. That will blow this small sound bar away IMHO. I set one up for my mom, but I am used to NHT 2.9s with a center and Bowers & Wilkins 610 sub.
Open box Polk or Klipsch Reference small bookshelf speakers for a nice savings could be a great option UNDER $200.
A:AnswerTry increasing the output of the subwoofer. Mine defaults to 0 and at that level, where I've left it for now, the sound that comes out is subtle but makes a noticeable difference. At higher levels, +1, +2, etc. I definitely heard it.
A:AnswerYes. I used the included optical cable and connected it to my mother’s small (40”) Vizio TV. I turned off the TV speakers as well. Couldn’t have been easier. I moved the wireless sub around to several locations until it was hard to hear where it was coming from. The sub is not loud, but better than just the TV speakers.
