QuestionI just bought the Samsung model #MEM706BAS for installation above the oven, built in to the cabinets. If the filter needs changing, does the unit need to be taken down and then reinstalled, or is there a way to change it without doing that?

- Answer You do not have to uninstall or do anything difficult. The filter is located on the bottom front of the oven. Just push the black front edge of the filter toward the back. Then the filter will release. Then just pull/slide it out. Wash it, let dry. Then slide the filter right back in. Very easy.

QuestionI don’t have the template for mounting the wall bracket. What should the measurement be from top of bracket to bottom of upper cabinet? I have 17” but wanted to make sure it would work before I install.

- Answer Not really sure, this Over Range Microwave replaced one from mid 90's & fits perfectly for my needs. This unit does match the cabinets except for the front. Instead of being flush it extends forward about 3" making it easier to reach the keypad station. Samsung makes smaller units but this is the one I decide on, wanted a larger unit. Hoping this helps.

- Answer Great question, nannie! First, I have the full dimensions of this model listed as 29 7/8" W x 17 1/16" H x 16 1/2" D. I can also note that our specifications indicate the cutout depth should be no more than 12". ^Jecca
