QuestionCan I install a Samsung 860 evo SSD (model# mz -76e500b/am) without removing the hhd? Also could the OS be copied onto the SSD so the laptop can boot faster?

- Answer You can indeed have two "drives" in this machine but you need to install an M.2 drive along with the included HDD. I created the recovery install USB drive, installed the m.2 drive and removed the HDD, booted from the USB, installed the system there, and then reinstalled the HDD. Worth the effort.

Questioncan i change the hard drive to ssd at best buy? i know ssd's offer less capacity but that doesn't matter to me. and how is battery life?

- Answer Can't answer the hard drive question, but the battery life is pretty amazing these days with the advancement of the low voltage CPU's. I can easily get around five hours on this machine just surfing the web and watching music videos. I would however recommend swapping the 3 cell standard battery out for a larger 4 cell one on the market down the road. This may improve battery life even more.

- Answer My XPS 13 was 8 gen i7, 16gb ram & 512 PCIe SSD. Some models may not have PCIe so check specific models to make sure. Better yet, I recommend the HP Spectre X360 OR ASUS Q series Q325UA! Good luck if you get or keep the Dell!!!

- Answer Yes. Installing / cloning the OS (windows) to an M.2 and setting it first in your boot order is the way to go (IMO), and using the HDD / SSD for storage makes sense to me.

- Answer I think the "no windows ink won't work" answer is incorrect.. the floor model of this computer I looked at had a original install of windows 10, what ever version it was when the laptop shipped to best buy.. the sale price sign did not list windows ink as a feature as other newer laptops did. I asked 2 different sales people and they both said it would work with a pen and windows ink. I have a 5 or 6 yr old toshiba that started with windows 7 and I did the free upgrade to win 10. I do not have a touch screen or stylus capable screen. My original windows 10 did not have windows ink. I did however recently install the latest windows update. I now have windows ink on my computer which was never there. I can take my mouse and actually draw on the screen using windows ink. The only thing windows ink needs to work as intended is a touch screen. If it has a touch screen, then the bamboo pen should work as long as its the right kind of pen. I hope this helps

QuestionAre there any styli that will work with this? Best Buy Customer Support said the Wacom Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus works. Wacom says that their products are not compatible. Samsung said that there are no compatible styli on the market for this.

- Answer Absolutely. This is an i7 with 12Gb memory. The 17" screen allows for MUCH wider viewing while working. Only downside would be the weight vs the 13" Yoga. You can always add a solid state drive to this laptop and STILL keep the regular one in the machine. Great buy!

- Answer M.2 is an SSD drive. It uses a different connector from SATA. Almost like a larger USB drive that you can add on to the computer later. It is all aluminium and very premium feeling and looking.
