QuestionWe have been advised to turn off water to ice maker or turn off the ice maker when we are traveling. How do we do that???

- Answer I have not been advised of that and had no issues leaving it on. I would assume that if you wanted to turn off the ice maker or water the instructions would be in the manual. Or you could just pull the fridge forward and shut off the water to the fridge while your gone.

QuestionI have an older model from 6/2012 with mulptial issues, inside won't keep temp stable, ice maker & evaporator coils keeps freezing up. Have they eliminated these problems?

- Answer This icon is the water filter sensor light. This icon runs on a 6 month timer and will light up when that time has expired as a reminder to replace the water filter. Once a new filter has been installed, or to reset the 6 month timer, touch and hold the Ice/Water button for 3-5 seconds. The light will go away for another 6 months.

QuestionRep told me I couldn't use my current 1/4" plastic hose line (that is connected to my Fridgidaire) to hook it up myself.I had to supposedly buy their kit even if I wanted to hook it up myself.Is this accurate?Why would their be need for a special hookup?

- Answer Some local regulations may require new connection hoses with the purchase of a new appliance. Replacing your hoses every few years would be a good maintenance practice anyway :).

- Answer Thanks for the question, Donna. Most new Refrigerator models with the Ice Master ice maker don't have a release button on the side of the ice bucket. Instead, lift the front of the bucket to release it then pull it toward you. It isn't unusual for the bucket to require a firm lift and pull to be removed initially. - Ms. Samsung

- Answer I have to put a flat blade screwdriver in the slot between the main ice housing and the front section and gently pull up. This will loosen the fitting between the two sections and you can pull the ice holder out to obtain the ice cubes This method works!.
