Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The catch screen on the bottom (floor) of the unit must be manually picked up and washed off in the sink. Any food debris on the screen may be placed in the trash or washed down the garbage disposal. It is simple and only takes a minute. I have had the unit for more than a month and haven’t had to do this. The unit is very efficient and breaks down food particles very effectively. Also, I was surprised when the door opened during the last 15 minutes of the dry cycle. This is normal and aids in natural drying of dishes. I read that the unit does not have a heating element to dry the dishes. It does work very well. Overall, I am very pleased with the unit!
