A:Answerone year warranty on all Samsung refrigerators. if something goes wrong within the year Samsung will send a company to repair. if called out 3 times same issue. Samsung will refund and let you buy whatever you want. answer based on personal experience. The service techs were excellent, the customer service on the phone was responsive, the refund had to be issued through best buy. Best buy treats as a store credit, you select what you want, if higher prices you pay difference.
A:AnswerOurs came with one installed and the manual says it should be changed every 6 months and you have to use a Samsung brand one. Not sure what those cost yet ...
A:AnswerNo it does not freeze but it gets pretty cold. I have the drawer with the stainless inside. The freezer is bigger than it looks and it has a small shelf in the door that holds butter, ice packs etc... and another drawer above the large area that will hold pizzas, ice cream, etc and the bottom drawer will hold a 23 lb turkey.
A:AnswerWith the dc inverter technology being used on this and many other high end refrigerators, i would venture to say 5% or less will fail durning the 10 year warranty. These compressors have been used in high efficiency hvac systems for many years now with a 2 - 3% failure rate in the first 10 years. Thats why so many manufacturers offer the 10 year warranty.
A:AnswerGreat question, Josh. The doors are removable to make installation in tight spaces easier. The total dimensions without the doors and handles are 35 3/4" x 68 7/8"" x 29 3/8". ^Lo
A:AnswerWe use the flex drawer for our beverages (beer). It is perfect for that. We have had ours for a few weeks now and no frost build up yet. If that changes I will edit this post.
A:AnswerI bought a suite of Samsung Appliances for my kitchen. The exact day the warranty period of one year passed, the microwave died. I bought it from another company who basically told me, "too bad, you didn't buy the service plan." I bought another microwave. THEN my dishwasher went out. Bad motherboard. Somehow it WAS covered by the warranty. But the REAL PROBLEM has been my refrigerator: the ice maker freezes up about once a month and I have to leave the door open for it to thaw. Samsung is aware of this problem and they actually have a kit to fix the problem for around $400 but they will not claim it as their responsibility. (This problem has been persistent since I bought the refrigerator.) I moaned and groaned (and other things with Samsung while the third party repair guy was fixing it. I was on hold for 45 minutes (proof the rest of the world has the same problem) and finally the person said they would take care of the problem but had to pass me on to another person. I had to go through the entire argument again then the guy kept saying they could probably take care of it but needed to contact the repair company and he kept putting me on hold (1 hour, 45 minutes by now). In the meantime, the repair guy did not want to hang around and I paid him. The Samsung guy said, "oh, you already paid them? Then we cannot help you." He never could explain that even when I said I could call the repair company and get them to give me a credit on my credit card charge. He refused, I ended up telling him thanks for wasting my time and where he could go. I ate the $400. SUMMARY: Samsung manufactures substandard appliances. Their customer support is horrendous and that 1 Star up there should really be a 0 Star. SPECIAL NOTE: Not to get anyone into trouble but a Best Buy employee in the Appliance Department confided to me that "Samsung appliances suck." I was shocked coming from such a person in the know but they went on to explain the problem probably has to do with the fact that they shop out their parts to third party sub contractors. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
A:AnswerI also wanted one without the ice maker and water so I checked on Samsung’s website. It’s not offered without it. And this one is built into the door so you cannot remove it. My previous side by side I was able to take it out.
A:AnswerThe Flex Zone drawer has a light. The Showcase Door also lights when opened. The freezer drawer also lights. This is a most marvelous refrigerator! Both drawers also self close.
A:AnswerYou buy the flex hose when buying the refrigerator, then the delivery people will hook it up. If you do not buy the new stainless flex hose at the time of purchase then no delivery hookup for you...I think it's around $29.00.
