With the dc inverter technology being used on this and many other high end refrigerators, i would venture to say 5% or less will fail durning the 10 year warranty. These compressors have been used in high efficiency hvac systems for many years now with a 2 - 3% failure rate in the first 10 years. Thats why so many manufacturers offer the 10 year warranty.
