It's dissolved air in the water that makes the ice cloudy. Ice makers in modern fridges freeze the ice more quickly than placing water into trays in your freezer. This quick freeze traps the air in the cubes making them opaque (cloudy). Ice cube trays placed in the freezer compartment in other refrigerators freeze the ice more slowly allowing time for dissolved air in the water to escape before/while the ice freezes into cubes. There is nothing wrong with the ice if it's white vs clear.
