If it's a surface scratch that didn't remove the black clear coat down to the raw stainless it can probably be rubbed out with a machine buffer. I painted cars for 47 years and this would be like removing a scratch on a car.

Bar Keepers Friend™ or Kleen King Stainless Steel and Copper Cleaner™ are stainless cleaners and polishes that you can try for tougher jobs. These products will also help with the appearance of scratches as well. ^Rosi
