QuestionDoes tied monitor have Freesync 1 or FreeSync 2? And does it support FreeSync through HDMI? I’m asking because I intent to use it for Xbox one X, just shopping around trying to find the best budget 4K monitor with HDR. Thanks

QuestionWhen I have the monitor set to HDMI 1.4 mode the monitor will output audio, but my refresh rate is limited to 30hz. If I set the monitor to HDMI 2.0 mode the refresh rate goes up to 60hz but the monitor no longer outputs sound. Has anybody solved this?

- Answer Hi Sue, It depends on your goal? This display works, plays, and feels amazing with the PS5, but it only has a 60hz refresh rate so it cannot take advantage of the 165hz capability of the PS5. If you are fine playing at 60hx in 1080P, it works great.

QuestionHaving some issues with lag. Extending on this with a DP cable and a non-4k HP monitor with and HDMI. And my HP is moving way smoother. I have a 2017 Macbook pro. Any advice? Also do I have to use the monitor at the big res? Everything is so small.

- Answer Anytime you change the connections the monitor will take a very long time to reset. Once this is done, there will be a fast start next time. The monitor will work fine with lower resolutions. This is a great monitor. Check out the P in P, it is great

QuestionI just got the monitor and I'm trying to figure how to turn on the HDR. Is this always on? Or do I need to specifically connect my MacBook type c port to displayport instead of the hdmi one? Thanks

- Answer get a USB port and you can connect to your computer that way. I wouldn't recommend removing the HDMI from it.

QuestionMy mid-2013 macbook book air has the capacity to support a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440. However, when I go to the display settings, the highest resolution option it gives me is 1080p, and not 1440p! My ios is up to date, but Samsung only has pc drivers

- Answer I can unfortunately confirm this user's experience. A 2013 MacBook air has a mini display port (v1.2 out) but this monitor refuses to show the Mac. The Mac "knows" there is an external monitor connected, but the monitor remains black. I tired changing the display port version down to 1.0 in the monitor settings, running monitor diagnostics did not help either. I've tried this with two different mini DP to DP cables, one of which is new, so it seems this monitor will not work with older Macs. Only the mini DP to HDMI seems to work, so you've got to downgrade your resolution.

QuestionI bought this monitor to use with my Macbook Pro (2019 or 2020) and for some reason have not been able to get my Macbook to detect it. It is connected by a HDMI to USB C hub. Is there something specific I need to do to make this work?

- Answer I have a PS4 that I use on this monitor. It’s great for console gaming. Xbox and PS4 both only run at 60hz so getting a higher HZ monitor would be pointless for console gaming. I definitely recommend you get this monitor.

QuestionVESA size attachment bracket for support arm mounting? ie 75x75 or 100x100 ? And attachment screw threads and screw length? these are the only questions I have. Thank you.

- Answer It's 100x100. You'll want a couple of spacers so the mount can sit out a little bit due to the curve on the back of the unit.
