- Answer You need to check the settings on television and the setting on direct TV remote I was getting a message on television whenever I changed volume. Upon changing setting on the television and cable the television and cable remote work and no annoying messages

QuestionI bought a Samsung sound bar the subwoofer isn't really putting out any volume. the blue light on and steady. I have the bass volume at 6. When I try and turn up the subwoofer it will go up but then resets back to zero. You can hear faint sound.

- Answer Recheck basics. My SW does not reset to zero from 6 unless I turn it back,. When the bass kicks in it shakes the room.

QuestionI'm planning to connect this soundbar to a Samsung TV, the MU8500, by either Bluetooth or an HDMI cable connected to the HDMI ARC port of the TV. Is there a difference is sound quality or perhaps an audio format that isn't supported if I use BT?

QuestionUnderwhelming subwoofer performance = disappointment. I own a 2013 Samsung HW-550 2.1 sound bar/subwoofer and to my ear it has WAY BETTER bass response than my recently purchased HW - M 550 ZA 3.1 model. What gives here? I'm ready to return it...

- Answer There are two different places that you can adjust the bass output. Be sure that you find both before giving up. I was underwhelmed before I found the second tweak, hidden in the menu .... Sorry, don't have the exact steps, but just poke around a bit. With both augments in place, bass is much more useful. No my home Klipsh, but acceptable.

- Answer Make sure ask the Best Buy associate first since you have an older tv to make sure it’s compatiable. I just purchase the sound bar system but i didn’t get the surround sound is optional and very easy to set up because it’s wireless and it’s bluetooth to the system. I had geek squad set mind up it cost 100 for them to come out and do it. Ive could of done it but I wanted to play on the safe side. I hope I answerd you question.

- Answer Most likely no. The sub and bar automatically link together, and it's a fair bet that Samsung uses their own Bluetooth signal for the system. This isn't your typical "search and pair" setup like most Bluetooth speakers.
