Q: QuestionMy replacement cooktop arrived on 10/9 (first one had been dropped & damaged,but I used it until this one came it had no “k” on it).This one arrived on 10/9.Just cleaned it with Cerama Bryte and no scraper, and this is what I have now. Warranty?

Q: QuestionMy cooktop was just delivered yesterday. What is the meaning of the little “k” in the upper left hand of the surface? Sorry for the glare in the image, but the “k”, if that’s what it is is clear. We thought at first it was a scratch, but it’s not.

Q: QuestionI am replacing AMANA unit and would like to know how much cut in cabinet is required. Present unit has about 20.5"x 33.5". My cabinet is not as big so those parameters are very important to me. If this unit is too big do you recommend another one?

Q: QuestionNeeding to know if the plug is 3 or 4 wires, is it a plug or must be hardwired to junction box

• A:Answer My unit was hardwired to a junction box and was the recommended installation. Be aware of the electrical requirements. I needed to upgrade from a 30amp to a 50amp circuit breaker. As such, I needed to verify my wiring to make sure it was the proper gauge.
