- Answer Yes it says it right in the description that it is energy efficient. Also it has different settings for the water temp to make it more efficient with different water levels to customize your wash.

QuestionI looked at the manual that came with the washer and online at the PDF manual and apparently Samsung thinks that the difference between "Heavy Duty" and "Deep Wash" is somehow "intuitive" and requires no explanation. Do you know the difference?

- Answer I have to admit, the cycle chart on page 59 is pretty much useless. So Deep Wash uses more water - does "Heavy Duty" have a longer agitation cycle? Thank you for helping Samsung.

QuestionHow does the self cleaning option work?? There is noting in the booklet regarding self cleaning. It came on as I finished a load of laundry.

- Answer A majority of detergents now are labeled suitabe for He. I dont buy anything special or different and it works fine. The stuff I usually buy does, however, carry the He label. Fwiw, I typically use Arm or Hammer, Purex, or All brand dye-free liquids.

QuestionI noticed another version of this washer utilizes the "ActiveWave Agitator" but that washer does not list Vibration Reduction as a feature like this model does. Can this model with Vibration Reduction have the ActiveWave Agitator added?
