- Answer You'd have to connect it by component cable (the red blue and green). Or you can connect a laptop that has a DVD player on it to your TV via HDMI and play it that way.

QuestionThe TV resolution is rated at 1080 P. Cable TV display resolution shows 1080 I. Best Buy says the TV displays the source resolution, not the TVs capability. My Blue Ray DVD player shows a resolution of 1920X1080 60I. Is Best Buy correct?

- Answer Yes they are correct. 1080P is better than 1080I but your source is 1080I then thats what you'll get.

- Answer He should get this or a similar Samsung IMO. All pragmatic viewing angles work fine. If the unit is above head level, get a mount that allow one to tilt the tv downwards.

QuestionMy new Samsung un40"h5003TV has a plastic smell to it It was purchased from Best Buy online and delivered and unpacked just a couple of days ago.Is this normal? If so, when does smell of away?

- Answer It takes several weeks. Got it for Christmas and the smell is finally abating.. Also it's enclosed in an entertainment center and the smell was very strong; however it's hardly noticeable now

- Answer It's a little wider than 36", 36 1/8" seems about right. If you can turn it a bit on a diagonal it might fit.
