• There is an option that you can switch the system from 2D to 3D. You access it by using the remote as a mouse/cursor. It has 3 - 3D options 2D->3D mode sideXside mode top x bottom mode

• third, 3-D can be done in "real time" by the TV for regular 2D programming if you like. You can adjust the depth and "effect" of 3D. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
