To me there does not seem to be a lot of differences that can easily be seen but go talk to the home theater people at Best Buy, and use Best Buy's and Samsung's websites to compare specifics. I did a lot of research between the 6400, 6500, and the 7100 and decided the best for me was the 6500. I hope that helps.
