BBB, Inserting a 3.5mm cable will not automatically disable the on-board speakers. You will need to go into the TV's audio menu and choose "External speakers" rather than "TV Speakers. There is not a separate RCA jack, but the 3.5mm cable can be used with a 3.5mm to RCA cable (purchased separately). Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
