I have not had this TV for very long however the sound quality is great and I have not noticed any issues with the sound getting "lost" or distortions of any kind, so it does not sound as if the speakers were far away. It also gets pretty loud if that was a concern. I have only gone up to 16 out of 100 and that was plenty loud for me.
A:AnswerActually it doesn't get hot at all. When i had the Spectrum cable box connected to our old TV the box itself got very very hot. It was always super hot even when I put the entertainment away from the wall and made sure to have my AC running at 75 degrees. The TV is really great! I bought two Samsung TVs same models, but different sizes because we have a tendency to lose remote controls in the house. Therefore when we can't find either remote for one of the TVs we just use either or since the TVs are the same model. No need to program the remotes etc. It's really convenient.
