Yes, you can connect a Roku device to this TV and stream Amazon Prime through the Roku.

You have to get up and physically unplug the TV and plug it back in every time you want to stream. That will wear out the plug over time. It's also very difficult to navigate around in the different apps. With Amazon, for instance, if you want to closed captioning (CC) on or off, it's impossible. After 6 weeks of frustration with this TV, I spent another $100 and got the latest ROKU with Ultra HD capability. I now have 4 of these devices, on different TV's around the house, and I haven't yet found a distance from which they won't pick up a signal. If I had this to do again, I'd get the Sharp TV that has ROKU built in. It would be much more reliable, and Sharps have an excellent picture. I have one that's about 10 years old with 720 pixels, and the picture is as good as this Ultra HD. By the way, none of my TVs are on cable. I use wall mounted antennas (free TV) on two of them, so the picture is already better than cable. The other two stream only.
