- Answer While this product is great for use with newer samsung TVs featuring the direct connect, any TV with an Audio out port should work with this soundbar, with the preferred connection being Optical audio/SPDIF. Hope this helped.

QuestionWhy not 5.1?Will it play a true 5.1 surround sound? Why only 4.1 and not 5.1, is there no center channel? Does it have to simulate surround sound then? Is the 42" vizio with 5.1 channels a better product?

- Answer It doesn't have a center speaker and to get a surround effect the front speakers are on either side of the center bar. So, you get a surround effect but missing the center speaker doesnt give a 5.1 effect. Vizio 5.1 has a better surround effect.

- Answer They attach to a wireless hub. So they are wireless in the sense that they don't attach to the soundbar but they aren't truly wireless like the sub is.

- Answer afcw1969, If you connect the TV with optical audio, and the PC with 3.5mm, it should work just fine. But you will have to switch the soundbar inputs, depending on which input you'll be listening to. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S

QuestionCan a surround sound receiver be the source instead of directly to the tv?I Want all my equipment to go thru my receiver. I moved into an existing house where I cannot run wiring, so that is why I bought this system. Nothing in the manual shows that it could or could not? I hoping it can. Thanks, Jim

- Answer no and this sound bar doesn't have apps so use either blutooth or play it on tv and then you can play on this

- Answer The channels indicate the number of speakers in the system. In a 4.1 channel soundbar system, front left and front right are contained in the soundbar. the .1 indicates theres a subwoofer, while the other 2 are for the surround left and surround right. Most soundbar systems are just that, and only the soundbar, while alot have the subwoofer as well. Just soundbar = 2.0 channel system Soundbar + Subwoofer = 2.1 channel system. etc. Hope this helped.

- Answer The rear two speakers attach by wires to a hub that is wireless.
