• Can only be used up until just shortly before the rinse cycle starts.

• There is a period of time you can add items. Half the time, mine doesn't work and I just pause it and open the door to add an item.

• As long as the "shirt" light is on during the cycle, the machine can be paused and the second door can be opened. From what I can tell, this light is visible with any cycle.
