Yes, this unit is compatible with cast iron cookware.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is an induction top so cast iron works just great! We've had this stove for 2 months now and just love it. The oven in particular is definitely better than any other we have had previously.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cast iron should work. If you have the cookware you can test this by placing a magnet at the bottom. If it sticks you can use it with induction and if you can't you would need new cookware.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can use cast iron. Induction uses magnets, so we tested cookware with a magnet before we bought any. The question I cannot answer is if cast iron will scratch the surface of the range. Maybe someone else can answer that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes - my cast iron cookware works great on the induction cooktop, and because only the cookware and not the cooktop itself heats up, it is SOOOOOO much easier to keep clean than a conventional glass cooktop. Use the magnet test: if a refrigerator magnet will stick to the bottom of your pot, it contains enough ferrous (iron) material to work on an induction cooktop.
