I don't know how it happened - We do not have that issue. We keep the stove top clean and do not slide pots or pans around. Could be some liquid or food that was burned into the surface and it was cooked in -- use that stovetop cleaner - it may do the trick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you will need to clean the stove top with a ceramic cleaning kit you should be able to get at Best Buy. If not I think Home Depot has them. Follow the instructions EXACTLY as printed on the container and it will come off. If the product is new it should have been done before use. Never clean when any part of the oven or stove is warm or hot!! In the future try to avoid boil overs, but keep the top polished with the cleaner and it will clean right up. Hope this helps.
