A:AnswerThis oven allows both settings. Convection oven or traditional baking without Convection.
There are actually 4 primary oven settings:
1.) Convection Bake - heat comes from the consealed bottom heating element and circulates with fan.
2.) Convection Roast - heat comes from the top element and circulates with fan allowing better browning of large cuts of meat.
3.) Standard Bake - heats from bottom element - no fans
4.) Broil - heats from top element - no fans
A:AnswerThere is no difference between a smooth top and a ceramic cook top. All of the smooth surface cook tops are made of glass-ceramic materials that share the properties of both glass and ceramic material.
A:AnswerThe top is smooth black glass that shows everything so it requires a cleaner for sure. We got the Weiman spray cleaner which works great but you force yourself to clean it after each use if you want it to look nice.
A:AnswerHi Dave,
The type of cord needed for the NE59J7630SS and other Electric Ranges can vary based on a home's wiring as well as local building codes. I would suggest consulting with your local Best Buy Appliance or Installation Team, or a locally licensed electrician, to determine whether your home will require a 3 or 4-prong cord and for assistance selecting the appropriate cord. Samsung electric ranges, including the NE59J7630SS, are rated for a 240V/60 Hz/40-amp connection.

A:AnswerYes, this is a common problem among Samsung stove. Mine control panel froze. You either have to unplug the power or trip the breaker to reset it.

A:AnswerThanks for the questions. Both the NE59J3420SW and NE59J7630SW Ranges have ceramic glass cook tops (which are also referred to a smooth) and digital controls (which are also electronic). These are simply different names for the same features.
The differences between these models include the True Convection oven and die cast knobs on the NE59J7630SW vs. the regular Convection oven and plastic knobs on the NE59J3420SW.

A:AnswerThere is typically an 18" distance between your countertop and the bottom of your cabinets. Your cooktop should be about level with your countertop. The microwaves are installed anywhere from around 16" and up to around 21" depending on the height and preference of the people using it.
A:AnswerI am not an expert or repairman.I would first read the book that came with it. My wife sat down for a good hour with the book so she knew what she was doing right away with basic functions. I know when it was delivered and installed. The technician plugged it in and turned on the over and got it hot for about 10 minutes and then said I was good to go. Something about initial burn in of the oven. If you have not done this I would do so. If all else fails try unplugging from wall for about 30 minutes if possible. If not then look for a reset in the clock display area. If not call Pacific sales and see if they have an answer. If all else fails get it looked at soon.
A:AnswerThanks for your interest in Samsung Ranges. The main differences between these two models are the material of the control knobs and the type of convection. The NE59J7630SW features die-cast metal control knobs and True Convection in the oven; the NE59J3420SW has plastic knobs and regular Fan Convection.

A:AnswerThe heat continues to radiate under the glass for a couple of hours after you use it. It's not safe. And unless you can tell me how to open the top glass area to clean under it then I don't think it's a.possibility. I've had this oven for 6 years and haven't been able to clean under the top glass! It also cracked over one eye. And the heating coil in the oven came loose on one corner. The oven door glass is impossible to clean. Hope you consider a different oven and return that one before it's to late.
